    I wanted to say Hello and introduce myself. I am in the middle of a career change (I’m 38) and have been accepted to the local IUOE 701 (International Union of Operating Engineers) apprenticeship program as an equipment operator, completed the 4 week pre-apprenticeship training and am awaiting my first dispatch. Any other IUOE folks out there? This site seems to be fairly active and has a lot of good equipment discussions. Those of you who spend time at other sites may have seen me there, I try to use the same name at all the sites I join.

    So far, I haven’t run a lot of equipment;
    Bobcat 334 Mini-X
    Case 580L L/B
    JCB extended reach lift
    Older Hyster vib-roller
    Various farm tractors

    But loved every minuet of what I have done
