It was just installed (05 Lazer Z) and worked perfectly for about 2 hours and then started losing fluid from the input shaft area. Any ideas?

Contact the place you got the pump from and see what they have to say, We know it shouldn't have failed so quick....

I hope whoever did the install flushed the system. More than likely a faulty seal and or assembly.

Put a magnet in the hydo tank to see if there is any metal shavings

Thanks, it's being sent back to the company for evaluation, so I'll have to let you know. The system was flushed plus new filter and fluid.

Well we figured it out. The small hydro return hose that goes back to the reservoir had collapsed, causing the pump to build up too much pressure. It's a $15. part. and the tractor's back to work.
