OK, bought this new toy thursday night...

Btw, it has a 60'' Rear Discharge deck, take that into consideration while judging lol.

shame the pics don't load.....only links....

This pic is a 'before' shot, very thick, long ferral stuff, not ya average grass, this stuff bogs bush hogs even, some coastal weed/grass thing, my toro used to struggle even with half deck cuts.

this was after double cut down to 2.5''.

See the fibrous mulch, not long clippings?

Here is another vacant block, very dewy/damp, very sticky sappy grass, very thick muck. grows 1ft per week in summer! yes, one foot!

Got my wife havin a go, no she does not drive these, only for the sake of pics today so don't be too hard on her lol.

this is typical of this deck when cutting damp, sticky grass....

but going over it with deck up 1'' disperses it neat....

and here is proof that the double pass is worth it...being as these are so fast I wasn't behind in time , as the toro had to double cut this muck anyway, and it is a lot slower.

here is another vacant block I cut yesterday, from very long n thick, to 2.5'', 2 passes to disperse clippings and turn em into fibrous mulch.

maybe not as neat as my toro, but faster and the mulch will break down much faster.

So, what's yas comments on rear discharge against side discharge in these types of rough conditions?

It certainly seems to cut through tall grass well, of course it leaves some clumps when cutting that much grass at once. Having said that, have you cut anything with 2-3" of growth? I'm assuming it leaves little or no clumps on less growth but I'd be curious to see what it looks like with the rear discharge deck when cutting less grass.
