Sounds like a pretty good buy. I'd offer 2000 and see where he's at. Exmark makes a good mower, good luck.

In the ad the guy says that he doesn't have a phone anymore...a little sketchy to me.

The mower will do okay, may not be the best for heavy cutting in tall, thick and wet grass, but it should do okay for regular mowings. I'd think $2300 is a little steep for a 7 year old mower with 1000 hours on it. If you really want that mower, I'd offer him $1500-$2000 depending on the condition of it.

sounds like a good deal, but check it over good, dont buy it until you get to mow a yard with it,and get it warm see how it does.

I have 2004 exmark 44 inch lazer hp with a 20hp kohler was about 6000 new so 2300 sounds good its a great mower. Mines a rare size only year they made 44 deck on an hp and has the larger engine I know I wouldn't part with her for that. My intention if I ever do kill the engine is to replace it I love that little mower.
