I need a good grass and an awesome yard. This is my idea tell me what you think. I have nearly 14000 square feet, I have pretty good top soil, I was going to use KEntucky Blue Grass, Putting down some type of fertilizer first then approx 50lbs of seed, rolling it using a roller and then peet moss or straw on top of it. What I need to know is... Does this sound okay? How much peat moss or straw? How much fertilizer and what kind? Does this sound like the right amount of seed? Any suggestions are welcome, I am very new at this!

I would use 100 lbs of Lesco Parks & Athletic seed and 40 lbs of Lesco starter fertilizer, after properly preping the seed bed. You shouldn't need any straw or mulch if you can get it wet 2 to 3 times a day. I know the seed is alittle heavy, but it works great for me, comes in thick.
