do you guys think that a 17hp on a 52 inch walkbehind (gravely) is underpowered?
My first Gravely 50" had a 12.5 Kaw on it (mid 80's)
Scag 52" hydro had 14 Kaw (1991)
Exmark 52" TT Hydro 23 Kohler (2003)
I see the 17 Kaw as the standard engine on many 52" mowers. Yes, you can get bigger, but I have had them with smaller and still worked fine.
No. Horsepower Just Keeps Going Up To Sell New Products. And If The Companys Offer The Smaller Engines On There Equipment That Means It Will Work Just Fine
ok it just scares me to see scag and exmark with 23hp walkbehinds and gravely with 17
