I finally got over to Stateline Turf [Olive Branch] to pick up my new trimmer. This is a true 2 cycle 270, just like my old ones...with the exception of a vinyl/rubber handle instead of the aluminum/rubber handle on the older ones. Changed was the throttle trigger, which now has a safety.
It came with Shindaiwa's new Speed-Feed head. Other than that, it is same machine that I have grown to respect. Gotta pull out that spark arrestor screen though...
I used it today, ran it full throttle from get go. A little heavy, it has plenty of power and I [Think] I like the Speed-Feed head.
I have to move the handle down some to get the balance I need.

    Cost for a new/old Shinny....409.00 tax included.
They also sell the T230 plus the T260.

We only have one T270 but it is still our most reliable unit, but it is a little heavy compared to the Echo 261T. I did have a gearbox go out on the unit so watch that grease.

I too deal with stateline. Those guys are always nice to deal with. Glad to see someone from the area.
