Got my new Redmax 8000 today. Looking at the specs of the 7001 & 8000 look very similar except the 8000 has 200 more CFM. Let me tell you the 8000 is worth every extra penny it cost!!!! It has so much more blow power then my 7001. I never really realized the CFM thing until today. They both blow 204 MPH but the extra CFM blow me away, no pun intended. I moved twice the leaves in much less time!!!

The Redmax 8000 is awesome!!!!! :)

I also got a redmax today. I got the 7001 and it is great. I wanted to take it out but because it is raining i cant but the leaves hit there peak this week and next week so I have a lot to cleanup and I am glad I got it when I did. It was a waste of time to buy that fradan and the echo is a piece of crap. I will probably get another 7001 and after that it is smooth sailing to the finish line at the end of the month. I hope.

How much more fuel does the 8000 use over the 7001 in a hour. I get 1 hour out of my 7001. Though very interested in the 8000.

    Thanks,
    Rob

The 8000 runs a little more than an hour on a fill-up

Its true, the 8000 does better on fuel. My 7000 and 7001 drink fuel, but the 8000 is much better on gas.

I picked up an 8000 a couple of weeks ago. Now bear in mind that I'm comparing it to the Echo PB403, but I am very impressed. Got the Echo last fall to do my own yard, and the difference is just night and day.

I've been approved for another blower, next year though. I'll go 8000. I have the 7001 now and just love it. I figured the only way to do serious damage is to have two of those things going, one on each side and meet in the middle then split, leave the neighbors standing around tripping out with their rakes in hand. Wet leaves, small leaves, sticks, toys..........gone now.

So...how do you get approved for a new blower ? I've just been buying them the minute something bigger and better comes out. If I can blow 20%+ more per hour with a new RedMax 8000, I feel like I'm wasting time with last years biggest blower (7001 which was an improvement over the 6200, but not remarkably). I'm going to HAVE TO get all my employees a new 8000.
