I picked up a Scag Tiger Cub 52" with a 24HP Honda today.

We use all Scag walkbehinds (36,48 and 52") all hydros and know how great of a machine Scag makes. I am glad to say that I made the right purchase of this mower.

The cut is superb - great grass discharging.
The compact unit climbs hills great.
The 24 Honda is a very smooth and powerful machine.
And most of all it stripes superb right out of the box.

If anyone is looking for a great 52" ZTR, Iwould defintely recommend the Tiger Cub.

    Happy cutting

You will be well pleased with any of the Scag mowers. I have three of the 61" & one 72". Two of the 61" mowers are STHM. They are awesome at climbing hills. The larger turf tigers tend to scalp the turf so you have to be careful. Good luck with the Scag.

We have two Scag Tiger Cubs, 1 2003 48/19 kaw with 360hrs and the other is a 2004 48/19 kaw with 80 hrs. They are awesome mowers, we hope to have a Turf Tiger in the future. We use high lift gator blades, they give a better cut on our grass types than the standards. Be sure to grease the fitting on the wheel motors, the rear wheels have to be removed to have access to them. We had to replace a parking brake linkage on the 2003, (pretty expensive) because lack of grease.

Congrats on the new Scag. They are awesome machines - I just wish I had a dealer closer than the one who is over an hour away.

    Again, congratulations!
