new scag with 28hr in shop

    well my new scag z 48" with 28hrs in shop with a broke fuel guage and a starter that clicks and wont start until i bang on the top of the starter gears.

    this sucks

    Sounds like you have dirt or dust in your starter. Next time blow it out and see if it will start. Leaf cleanups cause this to happen on some units that aren't sealed enough.

    The unit has a fuel gauge in it? You mean the one in top of the gas cap? Did you try charging the battery? I would look for loose wires up to the starter including the ground.

    Why would the shop have to talk to Scag? Fix the darn starter and gauge..Pretty simple.
