    Hi all,

I m in the market for a new commercial grade self propelled smaller (21"-24") mower, I would like one that is able to mulch, or bag, or side discharge, also one that will last with regular maint, suggestions please along with prices? Thanks!

I had a lawn boy for a long time and it was an excellent mower and I thought that nothing would compare until I bought a Toro. The Toro is a cadillac compared to the Lawn boy. It's a variable speed and I can't say enough about it-starts first pull. For $359, it's a steal-I would have payed double!!!!:weightlifter:

I agree that the bagger is a little bit of a pain but the mower works so well, I was willing to overlook it. The Lawn boy I owned was in 98' so the ones today are much nicer. You won't go wrong with either one.

I'm not sure about that but they are both good machines. I have the personal pace and it's priceless.

I dont think that there is a bagger out there that will mulch well or a mulcher that will bag well. I think snapper is great for bagging. I dont think there is one that will beat the toro pro though for mulching. It will cut through thicker lusher grass and make it look great and do it about as fast as you can walk. 1100-1300 new

I forgot to add that the bagger is a pain .... but you get used to it after a while and its not so bad.... you just have to empty it more often the you would the snapper. The way it empties almost makes up for putting it on. You pick it up and then you can put it in a bag ... grab the back side and the front lid then dumps open.
