Help a nonprofit park out please. I have a new pavilion that is coming online. It is in an old hayfield right now that I killed off w/ roundup last year. I have about 1 acre of grass to plant around it plus another 1 in an adjoining area. You are also helping out a scout who is going to be doing the work for an eagle scout project The soil is sandy so we are hopefully having some topsoil hauled in to mix in with it near the disturbed soil surrounding the building. This will be a high traffic area so the mix should be sturdy and drought resistant. The scout will water initially but I am the only employee so no irrigation and no water in year 2+ most likely. I am lucky to keep up with mowing and all the duties of running a nonprofit (fund raising, etc) Scout will: -Prep area -Seed -Cover w/ straw (about 100 bales /acre for 505 coverage) -water -fertilize Question: What seed mix for N. Indiana? Question: Where do I get the seed? Question: Starter fertilizer specs?: I found a Pennington midwest mix @ Lowes but assume I can get better through commercial sources?
