I had another Irritrol 24v solenoid cause me time and grief today. Installed 6 new ones on a manifold for a client, and 1 was bad. Wasted a lot of time checking other electrical problems before realizing the new solenoid was bad. This happen to any of you? If so, how often??

It's probably the same solenoid that is used on the Century Plus valve and we might run into one or two out of a hundred that are bad. Shat happens even in a perfect world. If you'd used a VOM (vol-ohm meter) or one of the "chatter" units on the solenoid it would of told you it was bad. Carry extra ones for a quick swap-out so you don't waste so much time on your next similar incident.

Consider that Hank & I went thru hundreds of Weather Matic soleniods a few
years ago, I'd say you're getting off easy!
