So I'm assuming that you would want to change the roller height when you change cutting heights to get a better stripe?

yes, but if you only cutting between 3.5 and 4 inches it doesnt really make a difference.

So when did toro start selling a roller striper? I bought one from toro and it was just the rubber flap. I hated the stupid thing.

Toro makes a few models of their roller striping kit. Go to your dealer and tell them you want the roller striper not the rubber flap. They are exspensive....I just purchsed the same one LawnBoy bought from ebay. The rollers from toro are about 300.00. I am not sure if they make one for the non-turbo force decks. THe decks mount in a similar manner, so I am sure that you could adapt it to the 7 guage deck...
