I just bought some toro mulching blades and my dealer says they don't need to be sharpened. They are powder coated but dont seem to be sharp at all.
    Any ideas?

When the coating Wheres away they are sharp, after a cut or 2 maybe, all blades if you buy them new look like that, at least the ones I have bought do, now for the uneven cut- sure its not the machine

You will eventually have to sharpen them, but out of the box they are ready to use.

I want a sharp edge on my blades every time out. Makes no difference whether they are new or not. The difference in ease and quality of cut between sharp and just slightly dull blades is significant. Lets not even talk about dull blades.
