lots of my dads friend have new truck and plows and they are doing great. Just take it easy and dont tear stuff up. Alot of people around hear say to have a new (or new as possible) p/u and plow so there is less breakdowns. My brother bought an s10 4x4 (year 2000) and put a plow on it and never broke down yet after 6 years of plowing.

    o yeah one more thing,
since you have the plow prep you dont have to worry about the tranny since it has a tranny coolers on it and the alt, batt, and air filter. you are set to plow once you get the plow.

yeah having a new truck was kinda my thinkin... that i wont be broken down anytime soon, the sweet thing is that its a lease so that after 2 and a half years i can just hand it back to them

careful on the lease deals....In ohio at least when you lease and the go to turn the truck in it has to be "mint" and any ding anywhere that is found by them or the paint is faded from not properly maintaining it. you pay a big penny to get it fixed by their bodyshop. any interior damage or excesive wear they will charge you...My dad use to lease along time ago for his work trucks but now only buys them.
I just turned in my leased chevy RCLB 2wd 3/4 ton and got charges $2,560 for about 3 scratches that went through to metal (one on bed side, and the other two on tailgate) 4 little dings down the bed side and tailgate, worn brake pedal, and a worn armrest. for me buy is the only way.

I guess if you plan to buy after the lease it up it is ok. Leases may work ok for you but I am never going to lease again.
