No more hand digging valve boxes. This was a matter of saving my old people some sweat and some time too. As rotor will attest a good size valve box in our soils will some times take up to 30 min to dig out by hand. Not to mention all the tree holes we've not been able to auger and whatnot. I love attachments.

Very cool man. I bought a Dingo 6 years ago and it was the best investment I ever made. Saves so much time and wear and tear on the ol' back. Buy every attachment you can afford because you will find a use for all of them and it opens a lot more avenues to persue.

For $7500... I think we will continue to dig valve boxes!! Should be nice for drainage work though... its too bad you can't move the machine while sitting on the hoe though.

I hope you'll be getting different types of paying jobs to justify that expensive beast!

Otherwise for just digging valve boxes you coulda saved a bunch of coin and got one of these for $24.99 and hired a 10 year old to operate it:

One thing that I like about those Ditch Witch machines is the power they have to actually dig. However, I found myself wearing out after walking around behind it all day. Did you look at the Bobcat MT-50 before you bought this one? I'm planning on demoing one (MT-50) in the not to distant future.

That backhoe attachment is freakin sexy.

Summit - don't know what model you were looking at, but most DW have built in platform to ride on. I would never walk behind my SK350... it can scoot around a lot faster than I can walk.

The one I was thinking of was the SK500. It's been about 2 years since I've used one...so things may have changed a bit.

demo the mt 50 first, then demo a dw sk650... its is like a ford escort vs a lambo... you'll buy the sk even if its more expensive. bobcat, great as they are have the STUPIDist ride platform out there.
