New Trailer For A New Guy Starting Out!!!!

    Yea I'd go tandem axle right away. That truck could easily pull a light angle 7x14 or 16. You won't regret it.

    I would agree with you if he had more than a half ton truck. But in his case just starting out a big single axle will suit him nicely.

    deffinatly get as big of a trailer as you can. i would recomend a 14-18. i just picked up a 14' with 2 foot dove tail (16 foot total) at an auction. its a heavy duty trailer so i can haul a bobcat or tractor on it if i ever need too and i can use it for mowers as well. its way better than getting a regular landscaping trailer. way more versatile. im gonna be getting a ramp welded for the back and getting it painted. i got it for $800. and the tires are almost new lights work and all the wheels match. ill put some money into it to fix it up a little but i still wont have put as much money out as if i would have bought a new trailer.

    Good looking trailer. I bet it has some weight though but that's fine. Use it and upgrade later and hang on it it. Now you can haul a small skid steer or mini track hoe if needed.

    yeah that is a very nice trailer been pricing some trailers new trailer for 6x12 for just over 1200$ got about 1500$ set aside(just for the trailer) so that works still looking for a mower so if anything gives me a couple 100$'s towards that

    thanks. yeah i would try to pick up a nice used one. it will save you money and still do the same thing as a new one.
