Two words, Auto Darkening.
these helmets are amazing, you don`t have to flip it up as much.
One word, broke
Guess I can make do with what I have for a while....
being broke is the best time to practice!!!
where should one get a good auto darkening shield at a reasonable price?
I have a hobart handler 175, got it from TSC, came w/autodarkening helmet. Works great.
I just got my Hobart 135 today can't wait to use it. I see great things. Maybe not great looking but great none the less. Had a stick welder/ generator worked pretty good until the shop was broken into. After 5 years I am replacing it. Have a generator just in case of huricanes. So now I am covered.
Now you can come up with a bunch of new projects! This should be interesting. Now let the creative juices flow!
Not to sound like OSHA or anything; but people are aware that career welders (e.g. shipyard workers, etc.....) often have chronic neck injuries from "snapping" their helmets down, right? Given that this is for people who do it hundreds of times per day, it might not concern you; then again it might.
Just thought you'd like to know.
