Ok so I'm about to start off my solo outfit this Spring. For now just running a 21 and 36 walkbehind. In the future will prob get a larger walkbehind or a Z. So I'm currently in a Silverado 2008 LT 2wd.
I'm in need of my first trailer. Looking to go 12-14 foot. Should I do tandem axle? Should I just keep looking on Craigslist or buy locally new? Any ideas on what I should be looking for?
    Thanks guys !

I would recommend a 16ft tandem if you have the space to park it. The price difference between the 14ft and 16ft is slim and it will give you space to grow. The down side is that once you fiil up the 16ft trailer you'll need a bigger one! I had a friend that had a 12ft tandem and it was a pain to work out of. Everything was always ontop of each other and you don't want that. I would keep cruising Craigslist and find a local trailer for sale. Buy a new one when you raise enough capital.

I agree with JP 100%! I have had about 10 trailers of every shape and size. They have come and gone. The one that I wont get rid of even after going to a cab and chasis with a landscaping bed is the 16' trailer. It is very versitile and you will always be able to use it in one aspect of your business or another.
