I was at my local dealer today and was looking at the Exmark Metro 26". I know they had problems when they first came out but know they have made many changes. I would like to know what people are thinking about them now (08 or 09 models). I would not be using it a lot and not very tall grass, but there would be some hillside use (rather steep). Please let me know your thoughts/ experience with this mower. Also, I tried to search for this topic but found little information. Thank you

I'd buy the single hydro quickie 32 for the same price.

    Can't be over 30 inches.

The Metro 26 I had could not pull itself up any hill and I had to assist it by pushing. They use the same basic gearbox as the 21" and it does not seem to be enough for the heavier machine.

In that case, I'd go with a 21. I've read VERY few positive reviews on the metro 26.

What year was your 26? Do/did you like the mower besides that?

There are 28" walk behinds, but uncommon brands and I'm not sure they stand up to commercial use.
