Has anybody ever tried advertising like this and if so what kind of response did you have? I'm sorry if this has been covered before but i didn't find anything specific while searching.
    Thanks

We put a ad in here in Columbus, in the free suburban news papers, it cost us $65/week for a 11-line ad. We have had 4 calls since Thursday, (2 for mowing, 2 for landscaping), and I imagine we will get an even better response rate next week.

Yes it is a respectable paper. It has around 10,000 circulation. I figured that would be good if I followed the old 1-2% rule.

ya i put my ad in a paper that we get for free it was $20 a week for 4 lines in do different spots. got 2 calls and both were a no so i would go with a bigger paper or at least when the grass grows there have been people mowing lawn already. i think its a little to early but i mowed some of my lawn with a couple different push mowers that i fixed and sold just to test them out. they didnt cut much but i can tell where i cut.
