Guys quick question. I need guys that are gonna be full time employees. I'm estimating my costs of workmans comp., ss tax, state and federal unemployment will be about 30% of what I pay. So if I pay a guy $1000 I will be contributing $300.00? I tried to do a search but it wasn't really helpful. Also for you jersey guys what are your insurance coverages for auto and liability. What do you guys pay?

There are 2 different w.c. rates for landscaping in NJ
if you do mostly maintenance, the rate is $5.50 or so per $100 of payroll
for landscape installation work, the rate is closer to $10 per $100 of payroll

Thanks turfdude, I do about 50/50. Where are you located in s.jersey, I'm in Ocean County. Does it make a difference as far as what insurance company I use or is it a state thing? I pay 3800 for liability on a 1992 f-250 and a 93 f350 both have high miles. It seems like alot to me.
