NJ laws and License

    I know in NJ you need a license to put down fertilizers and thing of that nature, but do you need any type of license to cut grass and do yard/landscaping work.

    No license is needed by the state. Fertilizing is also ok however pesticide/herbicide requires a license. You should also check your local town laws as there's a small chance their may be some regulation in there.

    You need a home improvment contractors license if you do landscaping, plant trees, shrubs , flowers or establish a lawn. See the dicvision of consumer affairs web site.

    Wow never heard of that home improvement contractors license. Do you know any info on that? THanks

    Same thing in NY.... a home improvement license. Only costs $450 in my county. Read sarcasm.
