nj truck/trailer license question

    do i need a cdl class a to drive a f350 dump or f450 dump and a 10000gvwr enclosed trailer?

    If your under 26k combined you dont.

    "Under the Act, applicants who must be tested and
    licensed for the specific commercial vehicle type they
    operate include those who drive a tractor trailer or
    any other truck combination of vehicles with a gross
    vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 26,000
    pounds, a bus, including all school buses, or any
    vehicle used or placarded for carrying hazardous
    material (HazMat)."

    Under the nj dmv theres a section on cdl's that you can download a pdf and tells you everything you need to know about cdls.

    10k Trailer will never put you in need of a CDL
