"Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?" I felt like Indiana Jones this year.Everywhere we worked we ran into snakes, mostly non-poisonous, but still snakes nonetheless.Killed a few Copperheads, and saw a Rattler in the woods where we were working on one job! From cutting grass to flipping rocks on an install in Preston County, I had my share of 'em this year. I'm glad the little cold blooded hibernators are sleeping for now in WV. The only thing I've got to watch out for now is yellow snow:D
I'll be ready next spring with a new Z with super sharp blades!!!;)
2. Come across a cobra sometime the site of a cobra scared the **** out of me and i aint one to scare easy lol

We did some work for a few ladies who own a pet store a couple of years ago. Went in to get paid, and the owner was in the back in the "snake room". There must be a hundred snakes in cases and cages, large pythons 10-12', large boas, etc. The freakiest thing she has is a white cobra. It kept attacking the glass when we walked in, and we immediately left and went out front to wait.BTW- She lets the humongus pythons roam the store freely at night as a theft deterrent.

Snakes are just like grub, they'll only hang around as long as there's a food source. You can believe me, they're probably eating something you would sooner not have in your house. They are non destructive unlike some of the things they eat.

i hav a severe problem with snakes. I was working a job this summer where a 4 ft Timber Rattler was shedding in the garden where we were trimming. It quickly became very upset with us and it ended with a shovel to its head. Yes they do resolve a lot of rodent problems for us but they are just oneof those things that I do not like to be around. Now I usually keep a co2 pellet pistol in the truck box and I will kill it quick.

I can set rat traps if I have that problem. Snakes I can't even get close enough for co2 gun, he77 I can't even watch em on TV and the whole crew knows it. They kill all snakes without telling me they ever saw one becoase they know that to turn it loose means more snakes next yr. Me I use a little 410 ga. snake charmer anywhere I find one I would rather deal with the cops than the snakes. :gunsfirin :gunsfirin :gunsfirin

You guys are brutal....don't run into too many big snakes, but they usually take off like a bat out of hell and leave us alone. Once in a while when I'm on the push mower, going back and forth, I'll look down and see blood on my shoes, then feel bad. Same thing with moles, I can't see killing something cuz you don't want it around you. If that was the case, I would have killed half my It's like a debate I have with a huntr friend of mine, now i'm as tough as anyone, but I can't see shooting a reindeer with a rifle, how tough are you? Give the deer a gun also and maybe your manhood can stay in tact. Same theory with the snakes...if your acutally in danger, so be it (if i ever see a cobra in the wild....i won't have time to kill it cuz I'll be on my my way home), but otherwise its unneeded.
