When I ladnscaping for others as a teenager I carried a lot of block but did little installation. I have a good handle on site prep but it's the laying of the block the I wonder about. I obviosuly don't do to much brick work.. haha

When laying a soldier course in a curved walkway, how do the joints of the bricks remain tight. I have looked many of your pictures, and am baffled. Are there special bricks for curved soldier courses? It seems some curves are rather large but the joints are tight through the curves. It seems wierd the something rectangler can be curved tightly around.

How is this done? It almost seems like there must be blocks designed for this as I see no cuts.

    Thanks

I am not an expert but the solider course blocks in a radius are cut one at a time. Some bricks may have a lot taken off while others it may be just a sliver and some are not cut. It all depends on the radius. Hope this helps.
