I recently bought out a guy with a good amount of plowing customers. I'm looking for a no compete clause just to protect me for the next several years. What do you guys use for one? Can you post it here?

    Thanks.

I went to a lawyer and had a non-solicit agreement made. If you already bought the company are you not trying to close the door after the horse has left?

I suggest everyone get one made by a good lawyer in there State.

A verbal agreement has been made and both parties have come to an agreement but I have not put over money yet. We have yet to contact all the customers but we are going to write a letter to all of them and include my contract to switch customers over.

Good Idea, I suppose just cause you bought his equipment he may turn around buy new equipment and take back all the customers.

When I bought a franchise, a long time ago, I had to sign one of those.
