Being a newbie, all I have is a Honda mower, Echo trimmer and blower, and plenty of hand tools. I am trying to use what I have until I just cant handle
my accounts without a larger mower.
I have a buddy in the business who let me borrow his 04 Laser CT and 32" Metro. I say let me, I mowed his yard for free! I just wanted to actually use these mowers to get an idea of what my next purchase will be.
The laser was OK, it just didnt give the quality cut I expected. It did need a good blade shapening no doubt, but no longer than the grass was, and I slowed down anytime it got a bit thick, it just wasnt a very impressive cut. I wasnt impressed with the stripes either, although I feel that it could improve if the mower was set up differently.
Now the Metro was a beast the first 5 minutes, but it gave a really nice cut.
The only problem I had with it was forgetting to grab both brakes to stop instead of just one......yea.........i slapped that fence....but was going slow enough not to do any real damage. Dont you hate ROOKIES........:hammerhead:

Im thinking now that I may go try to demo a Scag 36" WB belt drive.

Any comments or suggestions or dumba$$ Rookie comments are welcome!!!
