today i was at bk eating and come out to another lco truck and trailer behind mine and the guy rigged the shindys exhaust to go throu the blower tube before the elbow were the tube starts. and a second tube on the other side near the air filter pick up some fresh forced air an took it to the filter. any one hear or see anyone doing this? and whats the point of putting the exhaust out the tube. i know about the other (supercharging for the intake)

Used to have an old POS homelight blower that I took apart just to see how it worked and it had the exhuast designed to go straight from the muffler to the tube. The only reason I can see for doing this is that it pushes the exhuast gases away from the operator.

And as there is a large volume of air moving there, it cools the exhaust before leaving the machine.

does it also cut down the chances of backfire/spark starting a fire?

also would the tube to the intake really work adding power?
