If you lived near me, you would have heard me hooping and hollering tonight when I walked outside my home at 9:30 ET to unexpectedly see a tremendous light show in the northern sky. I have only seen the aurora borealis once before in my life. (10 years ago). Of course, it is very unusual to see in my latitude. It was even better this time. My heart is still racing as I type this. Just glorious. Streaks of blues and greens starting in the lower part of the sky leading upward to brilliant masses of red. It was truly an epiphany. I feel sorry for those folks surrounded by so much light pollution that they couldn't witness this. Thank goodness for the "dark sky" outside of town where I live. Did any of you see it?
