Hey guys, just wondering how many actual mowing weeks you generally average per season. I am working up my business plan and would like some numbers from the guys out there doing it. For now I am figuring on 24 weeks of cutting. Sound right?

Also, when do you guys start and stop your areration and thatching?

Thanks for the help on this!

WOW what a difference--Here in Charlotte we are at least 38 and sometimes 40--But we can't plow snow:)

Just to give you a idea , here in Arizona its about 50 weeks a year.
The only time off is when we are waiting for the winter (rye) grass to grow.

Yes I know, who would want to sit in a heated truck listening to some tunes and making $250 to push some snow in a parking lot when they could sit on a mower in 95 degree heat and make $75 mowing the lawn? All for the same 1/2 hour of time :)
