HI everyone. I have been a member here for awhile now.I have been just reading everything and it has been a great help. Now its my turn to post :). I have been landscaping for 5 years now and I'm 20. I am starting up a legit landscape business this year. I have all the equipment I will need. I just need to know about what are the steps I need to take to get everything legal. like my name and license and everything else u need before going out on the road. thanks for everyone that can help out.

    Talk with an attorney.
    Talk with an accountant.
Register your business name with the state.
Obtain a Service Vendors License from the state. (you have to collect sales tax in Ohio)
Get at least $1 million in liability insurance.
If doing installs, you’ll want to be bonded also.
Have a business plan!! (don’t set yourself up to fail)
Price your service competitively but profitably.
    Have Fun!!!

    (That’s just the beginning)

    Mike
