Oil Change Pumps?????

    Anyone use a pump { manual or 12 volt } to change oil in mowers?
    What kind is the best? thanks

    Thanks for the link. Couldn't find "oil changer" in search.
    I just ordered the Pela. & that was the cheapest in the Jerry B. Leach co.

    I often thought it would be best to drain your oil through the drain hole so you would get all of the heavy junk out of the engine. If you just pumped it out through the fill hole would that not over time sludge up your engine?

    good point. I thought I'd get most of it out w/ pump, then drain the rest from plug & filter.....Screaming for Vengeance.

    I generally try to drain them whenever possible. Sometimes the equipment that the engine is on has alot to do with it. If there is no possible way to cleanly drain the oil, then it gets sucked out.

    We use a Mity Vac air powered vac. Works pretty well.

    (Sludge) Sounds like you need to change your oil more often :laugh:
