Does anyone know of a shut off and hose type arrangement available to put in place of the oil drain plug on Kohler engines? It is a pain to get to the existing plug, and then oil goes all over.

A friend has a Gravely with a Kawi enigne which has a hose and a open/close lever which makes it really easy to drain the oil and direct it into a drain pan. I'd love to find a similar arrangement to install on my Kohler.

    Ed,

Thanks for the info. My experience is that the local exmark dealer doesn't want to be bothered to order such small items, and if he does, then he wants to charge an outrageous price for shipping and handling, etc.. I was hoping someone might be aware of an aftermarket valve and hose that I could order online.

I'm sure somewhere around Durham there's another dealer that sells Kohler products. Do a google search, you might be able to find someone who sells parts online.

P.S. If your dealers like that, you need to find another dealer.
