Couple of things. I just bought a used JX 75 and was wondering if I should get the oil filter kit for it? The mower is 3 years old and hardly used. Was used as a trim mower only on a vacation home. I paid $350 good deal or not? Too late I guess but was wondering if I made out or not. Machine looks clean. Engine very clean, no damage at all. Price covered overall general maintenance, bag and mulch kit. Very good dealer as well.

I was going to buy a new one but deere changed the style and they don't look as commercial as the older ones.

I'm planning on using it on a couple of smaller residential lawns.

    Thanks.

I bought a little older JX-85 last year for $150 at auction so considering how you got yours, you did decent, not great, but not a rip off either.

The oil filter kit is well worth the money, it will prolong the life of the engine.

I would not waste my money on an oil filter assy. Just change the oil often, like maybe monthly, and you will be ok. I ran those for many years, and found the engine will long outlast the deck and transmission.
