oil smoke

    I have a 3 year old gravely that billowed oil smoke when I first started it this morning.It lasted for 30 seconds and then was fine.Oil level was fine,last oil change was approximately 20 hours ago of operation and included oil filter.Any help is appreciated.

    Take your air filter off and see if there's oil in the carb, being sucked in from the engine.

    Other than that, could be valve seals or rings.

    Also check to see if your oil level is to high.
