Is it worth getting the echo or stihl 2 cycle oil? Somebody told me that getting the walmart 2 stroke oil works great the same as name brand is it true?

  2. Yes.. and no..

It will lubricate as it's supposed to.. for awhile..

But you'll see smoke coming quickly when you fire up your equipment.

The cost of getting good oil is minimal considering what you're putting it in..

I never question the quality of the oil and fuel that must go in my equipment.
Costs more upfront, but it runs better longer.

Not to mention, somewhat less argument during warranty trials and
tribulations, especially if I buy the oil from the same dealer :p

If it's Echos you run, then put Echo oils in it.
    If it's Stihls, do that.

    Problem solved lol

I would like to see that factory where they put all that oil into those different colored little bottles.

I've never been able to tell a difference in the normal 2 stroke oils. Synthetics and other special blends maybe but apples to apples, well, It's apples.

I use the echo oil because it is cheaper than the cheap stuff. If you look in your area there is probably a dealer that has a case price for the little bottles that mix 2.5 gallons. If you buy by the case it actually comes out to be less than the cheap gallon jugs.

Dont buy cheap 2 stroke oil. Buy what the manufacturer suggests.
