I just got a call from a guy who is in charge of a local cemetery wanting a bid for mowing and trimming.. When I was in college I worked for a guy that mowed this and it took 8 man hours to mow and 4 to trim... He wants an annual bid to mow it as needed and to trim around the stones every other time.. Any thoughts??

If you already know how long it should take thats easy.
mowing time X expected hourly rate X cuts per year / 12 = monthly rate.

So its an average of 10 hours per cut, mowing season is normally April 1- Oct 31 here, so 30 cuts if its mowed once per week... I am thinking of bidding $10K for the year, thinking I can get by with cutting it 25 times @ $400 a shot...

thats $40.0/hr and $833.33/mo. If $40.00 is what you want to get than that works.
    Good luck.
