Old John Deere Tractor Pics

    I came across this old JD tractor a few weeks ago. It still runs and makes a garden every year. Owner bought new and says only about 40 built.
    I thought some of you might like the pics...........

    That is a model LA. I know a guy here at home that has 3 of them. 2 Ag style (green/yellow) and one industrial (yellow only). All are fully restored and in show condition as he takes them all over the country. Glad you are enjoying yours. Hopefully one day you can have the time to restore it to look new as well. They are very attractive machines with a new coat of paint.

    Yes its a LA. In which, they made lots more than 40 of them.

    Add about 3 zeros to the 40 and you'll have it.

    There were 12500 JD LA's built from 1941 to 1946.

    See.....you guys really know your stuff.
    I didn't buy the tractor and have no real interest in collecting old tractors. I done some stump grinding for the owner of this tractor and he is the one giving me the info that I shared with you. I didn't have a clue......i just thought it was an interesting old tractor.......Thanks :D
