I recently was given two identical McCullough straight shaft commercial weed whackers. A little fiddling with them and they both run like WOW! Heavy as a concrete block, and only have a loop handle to carry it with, oh yeah, also has a strap hook. Question is: What good are they, can they be used for an edger, and if so, does anyone have any suggestions on how to rig it up to be a stick edger. I have a stihl bike handle brushcutter that I have preferred over anything else I've owned so far...These ole macs, a small engine mechanic told me after looking them over, are heavy duty machines...thanks for any suggestions....they are sitting in my barn needing to find a use:headphones:
