    Hey guys.....
Just had a powersteering pump put in my Ford. The lines have also been replaced same time. One thing I notice is that the new pump seems to whine a bit. Ive heard that new pumps do this, but was wondering what you folks thought?! Is it possible that this new pump is poopy?

Possibly, but I have heard of people using one of the Lucas products to successfully take care of the whine .

if a pump whines then it has air in the lines. did you go through the steps to prime the pump. if not then it will take some time to get all the air out then it will be fine. I had that happen not long ago. Just be sure to check the fluid level to make sure it's up high enough but not too high.

If this is your first ford you will notice it more, I 've owned over a dozen Ford vehicles and they all will whine when at slow speeds.
