Just curious for those that have a mechanic on staff full time...what gross annual income was your company producing when you hired one?

We do 4-5 mill a year, we have 1 fulltime, and 2 part timers. They have a backlog that I think is too long, things are constantly getting pushed aside for "emergency" repairs. I hope to sway the boss to having 2 full time and keeping the 2 part time guys on as well, even if one of the full timers only did PM work it would be huge.

Glad this guy posted this topic.

I just Quit working in the field. it frees me up to do more of sales. and yes I understand about putting out fires. I have so many. I was always amazed at how much work 1 more guy can get done. or rather how much I can get done after adding another person.

    Best of luck to everyone
