Why would you thin a Live Oak?

No thinning. There were a few dead branches tht we cleaned up. Just raised inorder to protect the tree from vehicular damage.

Hey Jacob are you still doing anything with concrete/demolition work? I've got some questions I'd like to ask and just wanted your opinion.

Congrats dude that's great, Also in my question above I'll just go ahead and ask it. My house has a concrete patio area in the backyard that's below the level of the yard. It's been cracking and the retaining walls are starting to cave in, my question is do you think it would be easier job just to rent a compact excavator with a hammer. Then get a dumpster to dispose of the concrete? I'd rather do it myself so i can minimize damage on the turf, What do you think? Sorry to hijack your thread.

Before you blow the money renting a jackhammer attachment try picking at it with the mini ex, a lot of times a badly cracked patio and a sledge hammer will work just fine, a dumpster will only run $300 and the mini will run about the same. Easy 2 person job if the dumpster is close to the patio
