Started at a job site at 7:15 AM. Hot but everything is going smoothly. Go to landfill n empty trailer. Get back to site to pick up a few lil items left over & park on street. Loaded something, went to get something else, came back to side of trailer in middle of street & there is my best worker laying in the middle of the road face down! Aggh!!! oh no I screamed! I see no damage. Bend down to pick him up and my Galaxy S3 in the Fiskars clip on pouch, Is A OKAY! Whew. :dizzy:

I can only surmise the pouch hit something and fell off unknowingly. Neighborhood traffic would of definitely squashed him if I hadn't of returned to truck quickly. Double whew.

Dont nobody tell my Kombi worker he is not #1 or he'll get jealous & refuse to start some morning:laugh:

Lol I have s4 active and the note 2. I upgraded from an iPhone. Otterboxs are your friend

The Otter I had, broke. It'll be awhile before I can upgrade to a S4. I have a spare S3 back up sitting on the shelf at home. I hear the S4 is water proof, true?

The S4 Active is, but it is running almost the same hardware as the S3 compared to the newer S4 technology.

I read where the S4 was having water problems, not as waterproof as described.

I had the option and just got the s4, not the active. I'll buy a Lifeproof case for it when they come out.

Not true. S4 has a couple perks, but the actives screen is much better. Biggest difference is the camera.

Yeah it's supposed to be water resistant. I ain't going swimming with it though lol

You might be waiting a while. The Lifeproof for the SIII was just released, so on that timeline hopefully you'll get one in less than a year!!

I've been using a commando for the last 2 years and have love it's durability. No otterbox required.

Dropped it off a roof when cleaning gutters, onto the pavement. No issues

Dropped it in a pool. No issues.

Ran it over with a truck tire in a field. No issues.

I chucked it every now and then when in disgust. No issues.

The new Commando came out and I'm going to check it out, but I'm getting sick of Verizon's coverage in our area and am looking to switch back to sprint now that they have the Kyocera Torque phone.

If I need to do more with my phone, I just use my ASUS tablet in the truck and use my phone as a hot spot to get internet access.
