Daffmobilewash, might be tough finding that combo. This is one of the sales I go to. They have a variety of stuff there depending on the week and what's released.

best diesel.... hows that one work, its the slowest of the three (diesel power mag) and gets the worst fuel economy and blows flames out the exhaust... Just cause its quietest, who cares! I'll go along with the 6 l being alright

I was going to jump all over a Duramax for my next ride, but it would seem the oil producers have caught on to the fact that everyone is going to a diesel, and their margins have increased drastically. Diesel used to be cheaper than gas, but I see it is now at par or slightly above, and for the work most of us do, I don't think the diesel will get that much better mileage hauling dirt, and pulling trailers. I'll hafta watch the prices before i make that decision.

Sorry, diesel is .15 a liter more than regular here. It's 1.25. Not so many years ago, around 2000 it was around .50 per litre. Poor oil companies, how do they make it through.

ya no doubt! Man, I'm glad i got a gasser every time I see the pumps now, anyone who has a diesel must be pissed... I could see diesel being at par with gas but this is just rediculus being 20-25 cents per litre more, come on now :dizzy:

Gas is at $1.07 today and diesel is at $1.19. Man am I glad I bought a gasser, first on since 1998.
All of my plows, salters, snowblowers and shovells are all stored. We are starting cleanups tomorrow.
    Can't wait:cool2:

We have both a diesel and gasser pickup. Our cube van is a gasser but at 5000kms a year it's not bad anyway. I was looking for a diesel but didn't find one so got the gasser. Lot more power than the 6.2 diesel when pulling. Still looking for another truck and don't really care if it's diesel or not.

Diesel is such a PITA. I just think of it this way "I'm driving somewhere to make money" so it makes it a bit easier to handle lol

I would still buy a diesel over a gaser anyday. Not only for the longevity of the engine (I put on almost 90,000KM a year) but just for the pure power. Even if its .10$ more a liter, I get over 900 Km to a tank towing an enclosed, chipped of course. Still doing pretty good!

    Cheers

Jeff also has a good point. Lots of guys put on a zillion km's a year and would wear out a gasser quickly. Not to mention the pure power aspect:cool2:
