not sure about what kind of trailer to buy a closed or open. I do have a 3 car garage, but my snowmobile and other garden tractor are in there, plus tools, etc.
What kind of trailer do you guys use? what are the pros and cons of open and closed.
I guess a pro for the open could be you could put a few yds. of mulch in it for mulching job.

Put the mulch in the back of your truck. I use enclosed because I have lots of tools and storage and everything is kept clean and I can lock it all up. It's like another garage.

Search function on the top right of your screen should provide you with quick answers. This has been discussed many times before.

I prefer open by the way

We use open due to increased versatility but I have wondered about using enclosed to keep equipment secure and out of the rain

Open with 4 ft grated metal sides is what we use. Very versatile for everything from equipment, grass, brush, leaves, etc... And 18 and 20 feet long. Bigger the better. It fills up fast.

Oh age had both. I had to get rid of the enclosed because my HOA did not allow trailers parked outside. It was nice but I found it to be some what of a hassle at times going in and out and not bein able to put mulch or brush in it. I bought a 6x12 tandem axle open with all the racks and I love it. It is very HD. I can imp on it from the front side back put as much stuff on it as my truck can pull etc. enclosed is nice it open is more practical.

One great thing about enclosed is you can haul trees, plants etc.. With no danger of wind burn.
Also equipment stays looking new longer.
But my favorite is the little things like first aid kit, towel dispenser, soap, fire extenguisher all hanging on wall easy to get to.

they all have pluses and minuses we have 1 enclosed 8.5 x 24 holds a lot of equipment keeps things dry. but i worry during leaf clean up season that a few leaves may have blown on the mufflers and start to smolder ( we blow off all the equipment before we load ) .durning the summer months gotta watch out for dog crap on the tires of the mowers . bit of a smell when you lower the gate even wet grass smell ..the other 3 trailers are 6 x 18 open . easer for the crew to grab the trimmers and blower right from the street . also the enclosed makes a great restroom (5 gallon bucket ,trash bag , and a used toilet seat ) no running to the gas station several times a day .lol
