    ok lets say i have just got a lawn on this one stret ad now what do you think about the idea of making a flyer saying something about how i am already mowing and such in he neighborhood and offer some kind of special rate.

    I would not give a special rate. And the first few lines of your flyer could read... Now accepting new customers in your area...or Now accepting new clients in the 'whatever' subdivision. There should be plenty of information already listed on this site. Use the search feature to find you some good material and information. Good Luck !

    What ever you do I would definitely do something. If you have picked up a customer in a particular subdivision then the more that you have close together the better off you are. I know that is common sense, but basically just saying don't just do nothing.JMO
