What do you all think is the best commercial mower and why?
Welcome to LS. Please spend some time with the search function.
I'm trying to find out what you all think is the best commercial ztr mower right now and why? I did not find anything mentioning this I searched.
Whats the best car? Ask 10 people and you'll get several answers, same with comercial mowers. The most popular seem to be Exmark, Scag, Hustler, Dixie Chopper, Gravely, John Deere, Ferris, etc. Find a dealer near you that you like and try to demo several brands. No body can pick one for you and what I might like you might not. Do some homework, read as many post on this site as you can and you will get a good idea of where to start.
The one that is best suited for your application
but of course! LOL!
How about giving us some hints by filling in the blanks?
On what type of grass will you be cutting?
Long, short, overgrown, weed, St. Augustine, Bermuda, centipede, rough, mix?
What type of terrain?
Hilly, flat, smooth, golf course, incline, diches?
How much of it do you need to cut?
Quarter acre, half acre, one acre, 30 acres?
All these things have a machine made that is best suited for them.
Best of luck!
Its all good! Enjoy! Peace!
We like Ferris. We have an IS 3000 that we boght back in the spring. The suspesnion makes it ride a lot smoother and it cuts great.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSccccccccaaaaaaggggggg baby yeah!!!
I would'nt be afraid to buy any on the market. Find a good dealer and spend away.
The best is the one that you can get service on. If you are going to mow for a living you had better have a dealer that understands this. No matter how well built a machine is it is going to need maintenance and repairs. I personally use both a John Deere Z and a Toro Walk-behind. I have had Deere walk-behinds also. For me the Deere cuts a little better, but it also has more HP. If I were just starting out I would get a good walk-behind (again - whatever you can get good dealer support on). They are the most versatile in my opinion.
Any that I don't have to operate.
