Does anyone know off hand what the optimum soil pH would be for a newly seeded fescue lawn. This is really for future reference as we have lots of neighborhoods that don't clean up their leaves in the fall and want their lawns redone in the spring with acidic soils.

According to Darrell Miller, Forage Specialist, at University of Illinois the optimum pH for fescue is 7. Fescue does tolerate a lower pH than blue grass.
